Anti-inflammatory effects of vitamin C

Associations of vitamin C status, fruit and vegetable intakes, and markers of inflammation and hemostasis.

This study examined the association between vitamin C and inflammation. 3258 men without cardiovascular diseases were included. Dietary habits and vitamin C intake were assessed by a questionnaire. The results suggested that vitamin C had anti-inflammatory effects in healthy men. Further details can be found in the study.
