Micronutrient combination effective against prostate cancer

Anti-tumor effect of ascorbic acid, lysine, proline, arginine, and epigallocatechin gallate on prostate cancer cell lines PC-3, LNCaP, and DU145.

In this study, the effect of a micronutrient combination containing lysine, proline, arginine, ascorbic acid and epigallocatechin gallate was tested on human prostate cancer cells. The study results show that the micronutrients effectively inhibited the growth and proliferation of cancer cells. Furthermore, the production of collagen-digesting enzymes – via which the cancer cells move through connective tissue to other organs – was blocked.
