Ascorbic acid blocks hyperglycemic impairment of endothelial function in adolescents with type 1 diabetes

This study determined the effect of vitamin C infusions on the function of the endothelium (inner lining of blood vessels) in diabetic patients. 8 adolescents with diabetes were included in the study. The results showed that vitamin C was effective against the endothelial dysfunction in adolescents with diabetes. More details can be found in the study.
