Summary

This study evaluated the relationship between vitamin C and oxidative stress (imbalance between the production of free radicals and the ability of the body to counteract their harmful effects) in patients with heart disease.
The effect of oxidative stress on blood flow was measured in 12 patients with heart disease, before and after the treatment with vitamin C.
It was found that oxidative stress impaired the blood flow, which was then improved by vitamin C administration.

Further details can be found in the study.
