Human osteopenic bone-derived osteoblasts: essential amino acids treatment effects.

This study evaluated the effects of two essential amino acids, arginine and lysine, on bone growth. The experiments were performed with human bone cells (osteoblasts). The researchers found that arginine and lysine had positive effects on bone formation. It was concluded that the administration of these amino acids may be useful in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis. More details can be found in the study.
