Green tea protects against bone loss

Protective effect of green tea polyphenols on bone loss in middle-aged female rats.

This study investigated the effects of green tea on bone loss. The experiments were performed using 20 female rats. The researchers found that green tea had a protective effect against bone loss. This effect was also recognized as a possible means to fight oxidative stress (imbalance between free radicals production and the body´s antioxidant defenses). Further details can be found in the study.
