Summary

This study evaluated the relationship between liver diseases and blood levels of vitamins in children. Vitamins A, D and E were investigated in young patients with hepatitis and biliary atresia, a childhood disease of the liver in which the biliary system is compromised. The results showed that children suffering from these liver diseases had lower levels of vitamins A, D and E in their blood. Further details can be found in the study.
