Protective effect of coenzyme Q10 on anthracyclines cardiotoxicity: control study in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

This study evaluated the effect of coenzyme Q10 in children with leukemia or lymphoma and treated with anthracyclines (drugs used in chemotherapy). Children were divided in two groups: group I, consisting of 10 patients with coenzyme Q10 therapy; group II, consisting of 10 patients without coenzyme Q10 therapy. The results showed a protective effect of coenzyme Q10 on heart function during chemotherapy. More details can be found in the study.
