Resveratrol reduces obesity-induced inflammation

Anti-inflammatory effect of resveratrol on adipokine expression and secretion in human adipose tissue explants.

Obesity is characterized by an abnormal accumulation of fat (adipose) tissue and is associated with chronic inflammation. Against this background, the present study investigated the anti-inflammatory effects of resveratrol in human fat tissue. The experiments were performed on human adipose tissue explants and highlighted the anti-inflammatory effects of resveratrol, thus suggesting health benefits for obese individuals. Further details can be found in the study.
