Soy reduces risk for prostate cancer

Soy and soy isoflavones in prostate cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

This analysis evaluates different studies on the efficacy of soy/soy isoflavones in prostate cancer. Two of the analyzed studies were conducted with men who had been identified as having an increased risk for prostate cancer.In these studies, significantly less cases of prostate cancer were diagnosed after administration of soy/soy isoflavones (plant flavonoids). The researchers concluded that soy plays a significant role in reducing prostate cancer risk. Further details can be found in the study.
