Vitamin D supports osteoporosis treatment

Vitamin D status and response to treatment in post-menopausal osteoporosis.

This study evaluated vitamin D blood levels in patients with osteoporosis. 1515 female osteoporosis patients were enrolled in the study. All patients were treated with conventional therapy. The results showed that optimal vitamin D concentrations are needed to maximize the effectiveness of conventional osteoporosis therapy. More details can be found in the study.
