Summary

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of antioxidant micronutrients on breast cancer risk. The study used data from participants in the so-called Rotterdam Study, a prospective study of women aged over 55 years. The intake of antioxidant micronutrients was determined on the basis of nutritional questionnaires. The investigation revealed, among other things, that a high intake of antioxidants in the diet was associated with a lower risk of breast cancer. Further details can be found in the study.
