Summary

This study investigated the effects of the amino acid arginine on peripheral vascular disease, a common circulatory problem in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs. 39 patients were given either arginine, a conventional drug or no treatment for 3 weeks. The results showed that arginine improved the symptoms of peripheral arterial disease. Further details can be found in the study.
