Summary

This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) in chronic heart failure. For this purpose, a total of 420 subjects with moderate to severe heart failure were observed for 2 years. The participants were divided into two groups, one of which supplemented CoQ10 100 mg 3 times daily in addition to standard therapy. The other group received a placebo. Long-term treatment with CoQ10 improved heart failure symptoms and reduced serious cardiovascular complications. Significantly fewer deaths were also recorded in the CoQ10 group. Further information can be found in the study.
