Summary

This study aimed to investigate whether coenzyme Q10 could improve several parameters related to liver inflammation. 41 subjects with chronic liver disease took part in the study and were divided into two groups. One group received coenzyme Q10 capsules, and the other group received a placebo for 12 weeks. Blood samples were taken before and after supplementation. The results showed a significantly decreased level of several inflammation markers after supplementation of coenzyme Q10 daily compared to participants in the placebo group. It was concluded that coenzyme Q10 supplementation could improve inflammation in patients with chronic liver diseases. More details can be found in the study.
