Summary

American researchers reviewed several publications investigating the role of environmental factors, including dietary components, in developing Parkinson’s disease. Several of these studies identified important interactions between nutritional factors and the development of Parkinson’s disease. Thus, specific micronutrients can modulate the risk of Parkinson’s disease and, therefore, could be helpful as new therapeutic approaches. More details can be found in the review.
