Summary
This study evaluated the effects of magnesium against acoustic trauma.
Tests were performed in two groups of noise-exposed guinea pigs treated either with magnesium or placebo.
The results showed that permanent threshold shifts (permanent hearing loss) were significantly lower in the magnesium than in the placebo group.
