Summary

This study investigated whether a diet deficient in vitamin E is a risk factor for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a chronic inflammatory disorder that attacks the joints and other body parts. The experiments were performed using mice. The results showed that dietary deficiency of vitamin E increased inflammation. Furthermore, antioxidant supplementation (vitamin E, quercetin) was found to suppress inflammation. Further details can be found in the study.
