Summary

This study examined associations between the intake of omega-3 fatty acids from fish and shellfish and the risk of diabetes. Data from 51,963 men and 64,193 women free of diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer were analyzed. The results highlighted a reduced diabetes risk in women with a high fish and shellfish intake. Further details can be found in the study.
