Summary
This study investigated the effects of the amino acid glutamine, either alone or combined with vitamin E, against ischemia-reperfusion of the liver, a condition that damages organs and tissues and is an important cause of liver damage. The experiments were performed with rats. The researchers discovered that both glutamine and vitamin E showed protective effects against ischemia-reperfusion-induced liver injury.
