Summary
This study investigated the effects of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a compound found in green tea, on hepatitis (inflammation of the liver). The study was conducted using mice with liver inflammation. Treatment with EGCG suppressed inflammation and was thereby able to protect against hepatitis. More details can be found in the study.
