Summary

This study analyzed the relationship between vitamin E deficiency and lung injury that is accompanied by increased inflammation. The experiments in this study were performed with vitamin E-deficient mice and wild-type mice without vitamin E deficiency. The results indicated that compared to wild-type mice, vitamin E deficient mice had more severe lung damage. The researchers therefore concluded that vitamin E deficiency exacerbates lung injury associated with increased inflammation. Further details can be found in the study.
