Summary

This study evaluated oxidative stress (imbalance between free radicals production and the body’s antioxidant defenses) in diabetic patients by estimating the effect of vitamin E. A total of 40 children (20 diabetic patients plus 20 healthy controls) were examined in the study. The results demonstrated that vitamin E ameliorates oxidative stress in diabetic patients and improves antioxidant body defenses. Further details can be found in the study.
