Increased adipose tissue is associated with a higher risk of metabolic disease and arteriosclerosis. This study from the USA investigated whether aged garlic extract can inhibit the progression of arteriosclerosis. Sixty volunteers took part in this study who took garlic extract for 12 months. At the end of the study period, the researchers found that the garlic extract helped reduce the progression rate of adipose tissue volumes. For more details, see the study.
