Summary

This study evaluated the role of vitamin D and beta carotene in the development of esophageal cancer. Data from 100 patients and 200 healthy people were collected by means of questionnaires. The results showed that high blood levels of vitamin D and beta carotene were associated with a reduced risk of esophageal cancer. More details can be found in the study.
