Summary

A study at the University Hospital of Amsterdam with more than 2,700 participants showed that an increased vitamin C intake was associated with lower blood pressure and other positive parameters. Most importantly, the group of people with the highest vitamin C intake had a one-third lower risk of developing coronary heart disease compared with the group with the lowest intake. More details can be found in the study.
