Summary

This article focuses on the effects of different nutrient combinations with polyphenols on cancer.
It included studies with experiments on human cancer cell lines.
A mixture containing quercetin, curcumin, green tea, cruciferous vegetables extract (cruciferex®) and resveratrol inhibited head and neck tumor growth.
Furthermore, a combination of polyphenols (quercetin and green tea extract) with vitamin C, amino acids and other micronutrients inhibited ovarian tumor growth and lung metastasis.
Moreover, the same nutrient mixture without quercetin also showed potent anticancer activity in a few dozen cancers by inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis.
The researchers concluded that polyphenols, especially in combination with other polyphenols or micronutrients should be considered as safe and effective approaches in cancer prevention and therapy.

Further details can be found in the study.
