Summary

Vitamin D has various functions in the human body. For instance, it is involved in calcium metabolism and associated with many health conditions, including Parkinson’s disease. Several findings, which are summarized in this review, indicate a relationship between Parkinson’s disease and inadequate vitamin D levels, resulting in brain dysfunction involved in Parkinson’s disease.
