Summary

This study was concerned with the effect of vitamin D (1,25 Dehydroxyvitamin D – the active form of the vitamin) on testicular cancer cells. For this purpose cells and tissue of testicular tumors were examined. It turned out that vitamin D has an inhibitory effect on the growth of testicular tumor cells. The authors conclude that Vitamin D can be used for anti-tumor therapy. Further details can be found in the study.
