Summary

The aim of this review was to examine the association between vitamin D status and the incidence of type 2 diabetes. A total of 19 studies was included. This analysis showed that individuals with the highest vitamin D status (>25 ng/ml) had a 43% lower risk of developing diabetes. Further details can be found in the study.
