To investigate the effects of vitamin D supplementation on migraine symptoms, 65 migraine patients aged 10 to 61 years were enrolled in a study. Vitamin D was administered to 33 patients for 10 weeks with a dosage of 50,000 IU (1250 µg) of vitamin D per week. The other 32 patients received a placebo. The researchers found significant differences in the frequency of headaches among the two patient groups, indicating that vitamin D supplementation can help decrease this symptom. More details can be found in the study.
