Summary

This study investigated the effect of vitamin D3 supplementation in Covid-19 patients. 66 residents of a nursing home participated in the study. The patients received the vitamin D3 supplementation during or in the month before the Covid-19 infection (intervention group). It was shown that vitamin D3 intake was associated with less severe Covid-19 and a better survival rate (82.5% in the intervention group versus 44.4% in the comparator group). More details can be found in the study.
