Summary

This review, executed by Indian and American research institutes, evaluated several potential factors influencing multiple sclerosis (MS) onset and progression. Low levels of vitamin D are a major risk factor of MS. The findings from this review indicate a strong correlation between insufficient vitamin D levels and MS. Thus, the researchers conclude that dietary measures, including vitamin D supplementation, should be integrated into current treatments for MS and its prevention. More details can be found in the review.
