Summary

This study tested the hypothesis that vitamin E administration attenuates inflammatory factors (e.g. interleukins IL-6 and IL-1beta) in skeletal and cardiac muscles. The experiments were performed using mice. The researchers found that short-term vitamin E administration reduced inflammation by decreasing IL-6 and IL-1beta levels. Further details can be found in the study.
