Summary

This study, conducted by different medical institutions in Iran, examined the effect of zinc supplementation in migraine patients. To this end, 80 participants with migraine received either a zinc supplement (220 mg/day) or a placebo for 8 weeks. The researchers assessed zinc concentrations and characteristics of migraine attacks at the start and end of the study. The results showed a significantly reduced frequency of migraine attacks in the supplementation group compared to patients in the placebo group, indicating that zinc supplementation had beneficial effects in these patients.
