Micronutrients protect against liver damage

A nutrient mixture suppresses carbon tetrachloride-induced acute hepatic toxicity in ICR mice.

This study evaluated the effects of a nutrient mixture on liver injury. The nutrient mixture contained micronutrients such as lysine, proline, vitamin C, and green tea extract. For 2 weeks, mice were given either a regular diet or a diet supplemented with micronutrients. The results showed that the nutrient mixture can be useful in preventing liver damage. More details can be found in the study.
