This study determined the effects of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), one of the components of green tea, on human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. HIV-infected cells were treated with EGCG. The results showed that EGCG strongly inhibited the replication of the virus. More details can be found in the study.
