Summary

This study evaluated the effect of vitamin C on bone density. Dietary information of a total of 1,196 postmenopausal women aged 50 years and older were assessed using a questionnaire. The results showed that dietary vitamin C intake was positively associated with bone density in postmenopausal women, and inadequate vitamin C intake could increase the risk of osteoporosis.
