Summary

Vitamin B2 has shown positive effects in adult migraine patients. To investigate the effectiveness of vitamin B2 in younger patients, 68 children with migraine received 10 or 40 mg of vitamin B2 per day. Average migraine frequency per month was evaluated before the study and after 3 months of vitamin B2 therapy. The results showed a significantly decreased frequency after 3 months compared to measured values at the start of the study. 25 patients (36.7%) showed a reduction of 50% or more, and 18 patients (26.5%) showed a decrease of 25 to 50%. No adverse side effects were observed. In conclusion, this study showed that vitamin B2 is safe and effective in treating migraines in children. More details can be found in the study.
