Summary
This study evaluated the relationship between blood levels of nutrients and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) progression. Proteins, zinc, iron and vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, A, E, C and folate were measured in the blood of 108 HIV-positive men. The results showed that micronutrient deficiencies were associated with HIV progression. Further details can be found in the study.
