Summary

This study from the Dr. Rath Research Institute for Cellular Medicine dealt with the effectiveness of a specific micronutrient combination – containing lysine, proline, arginine, vitamin C and green tea extract – against kidney cancer. The study was carried out with cells and tissues. It was demonstrated that the production of certain collagen digesting enzymes (matrix metalloproteinases, MMP-2 and MMP-9), which enable cancer cells to migrate through the body, was blocked due to the administration of the micronutrient combination. As a result the invasion-like spread of renal cancer cells in the tissue was also stopped. The researchers concluded that the tested micronutrient combination may be an appropriate measure for the treatment of kidney cancer. Further details can be found in the study.
