Summary

This study investigated the effect of dietary supplementation with a nutrient mixture containing lysine, proline, arginine, ascorbic acid, green tea extract, N-acetyl cysteine, selenium, copper and manganese on the development of lung tumors. Lung tumors were induced in mice which were fed either a regular diet or the same diet supplemented with a nutrient mixture. It was found that the number of tumors in the mice on the supplemented diet were significantly reduced compared to mice on the regular diet without supplementation. The authors concluded that the nutrient mixture inhibits the development of lung tumors. More details can be found in the study.
