Summary

This study tested the capability of vitamin B3 (niacin) in treating altered blood fats (dyslipidemias) in diabetic patients. 42 diabetic patients with dyslipidemias were treated with vitamin B3. The results showed that vitamin B3 was effective against dyslipidemias, and it should be considered as an important drug to treat altered blood fats in diabetic patients.
