A study involving 11,348 adult Americans aged 25-74 years showed that both overall mortality and mortality from cardiovascular disease were associated with daily vitamin C intake. The subjects with the highest vitamin C intake had a 40% reduced risk of CVD mortality. More details can be found in the study.
